Scoil Bhríde is set in a close, rural community in Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. It was built in 1984. The school is located on a spacious site with an all-weather pitch, full size basketball court, assembly hall and astroturf pitch. The school has 6 mainstream teachers and 2 full-time Special Education Teachers. We also have 2 Special Needs Assistant. We have a secretary 4 days a week.

Mission Statement

Scoil Bhríde promotes Christian values in a learning community, where children can grow in knowledge and understanding and in the acquisition of skills, attitudes and values.

Schedule

A Roman Catholic School (which is established in connection with the Minister of Education) aims at promoting the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the person of the pupil: intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and with other people. The school models and promotes a philosophy of life inspired by belief in God and in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Catholic school provides Religious education for the pupils in accordance with the doctrines, practices and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church and promotes the formation of the pupils in the Catholic Faith.
